Responsibilities
- Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
- Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
- Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review.
- And everyone, in their own unique way, plays an important part, every day.
- Delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to radiation standards and guidelines set forth by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.
- Performs related clerical and service duties and assists with other departments as needed.
Requirements
- AART certification in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine Required.
- RTR licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required
- Must take the initial exam for the ARRT certification in CT Scan within 6 months of the completion of the required competencies.
