About the role
- The Customs Entry Writer is responsible for filing entries with US Customs and other government agencies as well as interacting with importers, government agencies, truckers and warehouses via email and telephone.
- Clearing goods through customs, working with other government agencies such as FDA, USDA etc.
- Classifying goods according to tariff coding system.

- With offices located at major international shipping hubs and a global network of agents and partners, Imperative is a critical partner in your supply chain.
Requirements
- Strong understanding and knowledge of PGA requirements.
- Proven understanding of the Customs entry process requirements and flow.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures specific to a client.
- Customs Brokerage operational background required.
Nice to have
- 5 plus years of experience in processing Customs entries in ACE.
- LCB or CCS preferred but not required.
Skills
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
