About the role
- This role is critical for managing public health data exchange processes and ensuring reliable integration between external organizations, DPH, and CDC systems.
- This role can be done remotely, with possible on-site visits to the Chicago area.
- Assist in planning and guiding modernization efforts for legacy systems and data integration.
Responsibilities
- Job Responsibilities Support and troubleshoot existing.NET applications and Windows-based infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools using PowerShell and SQL.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess architecture and recommend improvements.
- Manage and optimize data exchange processes between external organizations, DPH, and CDC.
- Maintain and enhance HL7 message routing, transformations, and mappings.
- Troubleshoot and maintain the NEDSS Base System (NBS).
- Implement upgrades and new functionality/modules.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with HL7 or FHIR standards.
- Experience using TFS (Team Foundation Server).
- Knowledge of NBS/NEDSS systems and workflows.
- Experience with SMTP and SFTP protocols.
Compensation
- $75k-$80k
