About the role

  • Responsible for accurate and confidential payroll processing for multiple companies using intermediate-level Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
  • Calculate retro payments and benefit true ups.
  • Process data migration and validation between systems, as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain garnishments, union dues, fringes, and voluntary deductions.
  • Maintain payroll filing systems.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Accounting with one year of payroll experience
  • Ability to pass a drug, background, reference, and credit check.

Nice to have

  • Experience working for a construction company, or another Alaska Native Corporation preferred.
  • Experience with multistate payroll, certified payrolls, and union reporting preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with payroll functions and laws.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to deal effectively with a variety of interpersonal relationships and situations.
