About the role
- Works with others (e.g. Supervisors, Engineers) to prepare work orders for residential, commercial and industrial service installations and upgrade.
- Prepares work orders for the installation of lighting and unmetered services for customers.
- Prepares residential or commercial contracts.

Requirements
- Prepares easement forms and easement areas for submission as required for services and extensions on private property.
- Obtains permits as required.
- Expected to work beyond regular business hours as required.
- Sound knowledge of electrical distribution systems and construction standards and techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Desk work: Computer use required for daily email correspondence, work order design, and engineering analyses.

Compensation
- The salary range for this position starts at Step 1 ($37.03/hourly) and progresses in accordance with the union contract.
Company info
- Performs a variety of technical and customer-related work in connection with the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Company's electric system for an assigned geographic area.
- Supports various Eversource functions focused on residential and Commercial/industrial customers in the areas of new business, existing customer relations, and service requirements.
- Designs layouts for service additions and changes to the Company electric system using Company approved standards and policies. Performs technical calculations and prepares work orders as assigned.
- Communicates internally and externally the Company requirements for electric service installation.
- Recommends designs and coordinates installation of streetlights. Prepares work orders for the installation of lighting and unmetered services for customers. Prepares residential or commercial contracts.
- Capable of accurately interpreting, but not limited to, company maps, site and highway construction plans, profile prints, etc.
- Capable of reviewing and/or inspecting electric service installations for compliance to Company standards.
- The position requires the use of company provided PPE.
