About the role
- We are seeking an experienced Inkjet Web Press Operator to join our production team.
- This position is responsible for operating high-speed continuous-feed digital inkjet presses to produce high-quality direct mail, transactional, and commercial print products.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced production environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality, efficiency, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Accurately complete production paperwork and maintain production records.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Experience in direct mail, transactional printing, commercial printing, or high-volume production environments.
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specifications.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery and production equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple production demands.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
Nice to have
- Operate and monitor continuous-feed digital inkjet web presses to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor print quality throughout production and make necessary adjustments to ensure color, registration, and image quality meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and print quality issues while minimizing downtime.
- Load paper rolls, inks, and other production materials safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with finishing, mailing, and quality departments to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on schedule.
