We aim to inspire and educate the next generation of thinkers, makers, and problem-solvers by combining the wonders of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with the creativity of the Arts.

Responsibilities

This role is designed for an enthusiastic, innovative educator who can inspire curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity while supporting the physical and social-emotional growth of young people.
Introduce STEM concepts through fun, hands-on experiments, building challenges, and interactive lessons.
Commit to partaking in all enrichment coach trainings throughout the school year Virtual and in person Engagement & Relationship Building Build positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment.
Provide positive reinforcement and guidance to support confidence and skill development.
Support overall program operations, including transitions, attendance tracking, and student supervision.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom or activity area.
Possess strong interpersonal skills to relate to younger children, work with different age groups, and partner with school staff to support children's physical and emotional needs.

Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, or light rain, depending on program needs.

Nice to have

Possess at least two years of prior experience teaching STEM or art to groups of students of elementary and / or middle school children.
Be available to work Monday - Friday during after school hours (2-6pm) to teach STEM and / or art lessons and help children prepare for ongoing performances.
Up-to-date physical and tuberculosis test documentation will be required before starting.
CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are a plus.
The physical requirements below reflect the essential functions of our coaching roles and the dynamic environments in which our programs take place.
Physical activity levels may vary by coaching placement (recess, PE, after school, or summer camp), but all roles involve active supervision, movement, and hands-on engagement with children.
Active supervision & physical requirements include:
Ability to climb stairs in school buildings or community facilities.

Adapt lessons to meet varying skill levels and interests while ensuring activities remain inclusive and accessible.

Model and promote positive character development and healthy peer interactions.
Use positive language at all times when engaging with the students.
Collaboration & Communication Work closely with the site director to coordinate schedules, materials, and activity spaces.
Communicate regularly with the Site Director regarding student progress, participation, and any concerns.
Safety & Supervision Ensure all equipment and materials are used safely and appropriately.
Respond appropriately to injuries, behavioral challenges, or conflicts, following organizational policies.
Actively supervise all students to ensure a safe and structured environment.

Compensation

This is a part-time, hourly position.
We offer competitive hourly rates in the range of $21-24 / hour for Enrichment Coaches based on prior experience as a general coach, teacher, youth development specialist, or activity specialist.
