About the role

  • This unpaid internship offers hands-on experience in adult education and refugee resettlement services.
  • Additional responsibilities include coordinating and supporting workshops, tutoring sessions, and informational classes that equip clients with practical knowledge and confidence.
  • Through this experience, the intern will contribute meaningfully to the educational journeys of some of our most resilient community members -- while gaining valuable, real-world experience in nonprofit program operations.

Responsibilities

  • Help maintain accurate client records, files, and data entry in program systems
  • Provide logistical support during classes, meetings, and group sessions
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned to support program operations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or bachelor's degree in related field.
  • While some internships are unpaid, the program is competitive and you are encouraged to approach it in the same way you would a job.
  • Applicants are required to submit a cover letter, resume, application, and to pass a Criminal Background Check.

Nice to have

  • Fluency in English required, additional languages preferred, such as Spanish, Ukrainian, Swahili, Rohingya, or Arabic

  • Assist with tracking client attendance, participation, and progress toward learning goals
  • Connect clients to community resources that support continued education and self-sufficiency
