About the role
- We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Lab Technician to play a critical role in our Research and Development (R&D) and Quality Control (QC) operations.
- You will be responsible for preparing, processing, and testing our proprietary carbon fiber-based materials, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards, and supporting the rapid development of new product formulations.
- Following detailed SOPs, prepare samples, including composite layup, cutting, polishing, and mounting.
Responsibilities
- Accurately record, manage, and analyze experimental and quality control data using laboratory notebooks, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and spreadsheets.
Requirements
- Your Required Skills and Expertise
- Associate Degree or technical certification in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced R&D/manufacturing team.
- Proven experience with standard laboratory practices, safety protocols, and chemical handling and familiarity with common material characterization techniques (e.g., mechanical testing, microscopy).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for data entry and report generation.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Direct experience with carbon fiber composites, prepregs, or thermal interface materials.
- Familiarity with QMS like ISO 9001.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.
- Associate Degree or technical certification in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
