About the role
- Each year, the company manufactures thousands of miles of underground and submarine cables and systems for power transmission and distribution, as well as medium low voltage cables for the construction and infrastructure sectors.
- We also produce a comprehensive range of optical fibers, copper cables and connectivity for voice, video and data transmission for the telecommunication sector.
- Working closely with operations, supply chain, and cross‑functional teams, the role helps ensure on‑time delivery, improved cycle times, accurate forecasting, and strong material management.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing, Purchasing and/or Planning required
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, etc.) is required
- Will be required to sit, bend, kneel, squat, use keyboard, read, write, and speak fluently
- Employee will regularly be required to lift and carry objects of 10-25 pounds as needed
- Employee will occasionally be required to lift and carry objects of 25-30 pounds as needed
- Employee will be required to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced, highly pressured environment and be able to respond efficiently and courteously to unanticipated problems and crisis
Nice to have
- Supervisory or managerial experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree required, preferred in Supply Chain Management or Business
- Familiarity with enterprise systems and databases, SAP preferred
Skills
- Participate, coach, and lead continuous improvement efforts
- Coordinate the maintenance of manufacturing data systems to provide information for budgeting, capacity, and planning processes
- Forecast, plan, measure and control inventory mix/level requirements, subcomponents, and products in all stages of production
- Prepare performance reports on key performance indicators such as schedule accuracy, material turns, working capital and on time delivery
- Monthly physical inventory count/reconciliation last business day of the month
