- DIS-TRAN Steel, located in Pineville, LA, is looking for a Fitter I to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Lays out full scale drawings of structures, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints within specified tolerances.
- The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
Requirements
- Ability to interpret blueprints required.
- Ability to read a tape measure required.
- Regular, reliable attendance is required.
- Fitters must be capable of fitting steel layouts according to specifications.
- Individuals must be able to perform duties with speed and accuracy in order to produce a quality product and keep a steady flow of products.
Nice to have
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Welding / fitting certification or prior fitting experience preferred.
- Certifications or prior experience using moving machinery, such as cranes, preferred.
