About the role
- The incumbent is responsible for maintaining student records on field education and on admissions.
- The incumbent liaises with external organizations (e.g. social service agencies, Health Authorities, hospital sites, academic institutions), and with students either in person or by phone including confidential enquiries
- Reports to the Director and the Administrator of the School of Social Work.
Responsibilities
- CUPE 2950 Salaried - Administrative Support 3 (Gr6)
- When such a situation arises, which is frequent, and involves serious issues in the practicum and is a crisis situation, the incumbent is expected to be able to handle confidential matter in an appropriate way by making appropriate referrals, and provide support within set boundaries.
Requirements
- Provides back-up support for other administrative positions when required.
- Performs other duties as required.
- This position is subject to the satisfactory completion of required background checks

- Manages database in IPT; administers groups of students.
