Responsibilities

  • Techno is looking to hire an Office Engineer to support construction operations on transportation infrastructure projects within the Long Island area.
  • Maintain and organize all project documentation including correspondence, reports, and contract records
  • Track quantities, payments, and contractor submissions to support progress estimates
  • Manage submittals, shop drawings, and document control workflows
  • Support scheduling updates and monitor project milestones and deliverables
  • We deliver impactful water/wastewater, transportation, and public works projects for clients including NYCDDC, NYCDEP, and the Port Authority of NY & NJ.
  • With offices in New York City, Princeton, Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, we combine technical expertise, a commitment to quality, and strong client partnerships to deliver innovative solutions and build resilient communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 3-7 years of experience in construction administration, office engineering, or project coordination
  • Experience supporting transportation or public infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with contract documentation, change management, and payment tracking
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or NICET certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Prior experience working on New York State Department of Transportation (Region 10) projects highly beneficial.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SiteManager or similar construction management systems preferred.
  • EIT certification is a plus
