- Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for analyzing revenue data and supporting the preparation of accrual and re-accrual entries, while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Analyze monthly revenue data, including production volumes and pricing, to support accrual and re-accrual processes
- Prepare accruals, journal entries, and perform month-end close activities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and support account reconciliation processes
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables)
- Foundational knowledge of revenue accounting, production, and general accounting principles
Nice to have
- One (1+) year of accounting experience, preferably in oil and gas
- Demonstrated interest in process improvements and efficiency enhancements
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to learn new systems and concepts quickly
