Responsibilities
- Project Manage DTO orders to meet delivery, quality and cost objectives
- Proven ability to perform complex assignments, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
- Through this global organization, Caterpillar designs and manufactures large (greater than 18 liters) diesel and natural gas engines, powertrains and key engine systems.
- The Large Power Systems Division currently has an opening for an Application Engineer in the Design to Order (DTO) Project Management team located in Lafayette, IN.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant experience.
- ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
- ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics
- ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques
- ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
- ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Compensation
- $97,530.00 - $146,290.00
- Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
