Responsibilities

  • Project Manage DTO orders to meet delivery, quality and cost objectives
  • Proven ability to perform complex assignments, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
  • Through this global organization, Caterpillar designs and manufactures large (greater than 18 liters) diesel and natural gas engines, powertrains and key engine systems.
  • The Large Power Systems Division currently has an opening for an Application Engineer in the Design to Order (DTO) Project Management team located in Lafayette, IN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant experience.
  • ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
  • ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics
  • ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques
  • ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
  • ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods

Compensation

  • $97,530.00 - $146,290.00
  • Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
  • Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
