About the role

  • Will provide services to patients from birth to death.
  • Ensures accuracy of prescription and patient data entered into various systems; verifying patient, drug, quantities, directions, days' supply, supplies, insurance, and other data.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and maintain competency in at least two specialized pharmacy functions, including but not limited to: vaccine administration, pharmacy buying, specialty pharmacy fulfillment, drug diversion management, and REMS programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Apply critical thinking in all situations, seeking guidance from other technicians and pharmacists as required while achieving an appropriate level of independence.

  • The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Nice to have

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Associate's Degree Preferred
  • 2 years Pharmacy technician experience in a hospital, institutional or ambulatory clinic setting.
  • National Technician Certification recognized by the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy is required.
  • Must also be registered with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. (Required proficiency)

Compensation

  • Abide by Stormont Vail's Remote Worker Policy and will review and acknowledge the Remote Work Agreement annually.
