About the role

  • Wallace Electric Company is currently seeking a Commercial & Industrial Electrical Project Manager for our Data Centers clients.
  • The PM is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical construction projects from conception through completion.
  • This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
  • Review electrical plans, specifications, and bid documents to ensure accurate scope and pricing.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs (Request for Information), submittals, and project documentation.
  • Direct and support field supervisors, electricians, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Evaluate job performance, forecast financial impacts, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial or industrial electrical construction projects, and at least 5 years of experience specializing in Data Center projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry codes.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to visit job sites.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license (not required but highly beneficial).
  • Experience working with large-scale industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, hospitals, or commercial buildings.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent training.
