About the role
- We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team.
- This role is ideal for a Master's level student or recent graduate eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design and Develop: Participate in the design and development of mechanical components and systems, utilizing CAD software and rapid prototyping techniques.
- Prototyping & Fabrication: Get hands-on experience building and iterating on physical prototypes. This may involve 3D printing, machining, and other fabrication methods.
- System Testing & Validation: Contribute to the development and execution of test plans to validate system performance and reliability.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and test reports.
- Enhanced skills in mechanical design, hardware development, C++, Linux, and embedded systems.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system and command-line interface.
- Experience with embedded systems (e.g., microcontrollers, sensors, actuators).
Nice to have
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360).
- Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32).
- Knowledge of common communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART).

Compensation
- The expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $80,168.40 to $124,800.00 per year.
