Responsibilities
- Have hands‑on experience using optical design software such as Code V and/or Zemax.
- Have experience in illumination system design and micro‑optics.

- As an R&D Optical Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and validation of optical and electro‑optical systems.
- You will work closely with cross‑functional partners, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to ensure optical performance, manufacturability, and quality throughout the product lifecycle.
- This role supports innovation through technology research, patent development, and continuous improvement of optical solutions.
- Senior Engineer, Physics & Metrology, Product Design and Engineering
Requirements
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Have 5+ years of experience in the design and development of optical products.
- Have significant experience with optical modeling of electro‑optical systems, including alignment techniques, lens selection, MTF, and FOV analysis.
Skills
- Adhering to business standards, engineering best practices, and product/program requirements throughout the development process.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optical parts and assemblies are manufacturable and achieve consistent quality.
- Contributing to innovation by researching emerging technologies and supporting the review and submission of patents.
Compensation
- The annual pay scale for this position is between $101,530.00 - $188,470.00.
