About the role

  • The Estimator II plays an active role in project handoff and operational planning and serves as a critical link between preconstruction and field operations.
  • This role represents an experienced estimating position and provides a pathway toward senior estimating and project management responsibilities within Veit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Construction Management or Civil Engineering from four-year college or university
  • or minimum of 3-5 years' experience bidding and estimating projects
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Construction Bidding and Project Management software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to work with all levels of management, employees, external vendors, and other business associates.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, clients, and/or regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of situations and events and respond accordingly.
  • Ability to seek counsel, when needed and use a variety of resources.
  • Working knowledge of AGTEK and HCSS software.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Compensation

  • $75,000 - $100,000
  • The base salary range may vary depending on geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.
