About the role

  • This role will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, driving HR initiatives that align with business goals.
  • Currently, this excludes the following states: Alaska, Hawaii, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Responsibilities

  • Align HR initiatives with business objectives to drive performance and employee success.
  • Implement and support engagement initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and career development discussions.
  • Update and enforce HR policies and procedures to maintain a fair and compliant workplace.
  • Partner with legal and HR teams on employment law matters as needed.
  • The HRBP will partner closely with managers to support talent management, employee relations, organizational development, and HR compliance.
  • Support HR initiatives through reporting on key metrics such as turnover, engagement, and DEI efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR analytics is a plus.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employee relations, and employment law.
  • Proven experience in human resources, preferably in a fast-paced high -growth start-up environment.
  • Ability to assess needs, solve problems, and provide creative solutions that align with the business's needs and goals.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws and compliance. Preferred knowledge of state laws in multiple states.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (preferably HiBoB and Deel) and performance management systems (preferably Lattice).
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, accountability and confidentiality.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.
  • must be empathetic, patient, confident, good-humored, and able to interact well with a broad spectrum of personality types.

Compensation

  • $120,000 - $150,000 base salary range + bonus
  • Assist in annual salary review processes and benchmarking efforts.
