Responsibilities
- Obtain all necessary information to perform job assignment and report any discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
- Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to perform point-to-point assembly, where assemblies and subassemblies require wiring and soldering of large masses of wires in confined spaces.
- Following appropriate wiring diagram, perform wiring using harness boards, tie-in cables and harnesses; install mechanical parts, components and fasteners as specified.
- Perform electrical/electronic and mechanical assembly tasks working as a member of an assembly team as assigned.
- Use and operate a broad range of hand tools, assembly equipment and safety equipment to perform tasks.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Requirements
- Must have a current active US Government Secret Security Clearance (minimum) with an investigation date less than 5 years ago
- High School graduate or recognized equivalent (GED) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in electronics, test, assembly, or manufacturing/production
- Experience in electrical assembly and wiring, and soldering of PC boards
- Experience reading drawings and wiring diagrams
- Must be capable of successfully completing basic solder certification, visual acuity test and in-house skills training
- Perform product finishing functions as required
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
- Perform product finishing functions as required; obtain and maintain proper certifications, such as Conformal Coating Printed Wiring Assembly (PWA), Paints/Epoxies, etc.
Nice to have
- Ability to read/understand electrical schematics or engineering drawings
- Previous assembly experience
- SAP or other ERP/MRP System experience
- Circuit card assembly and rework experience
- Mechanical assembly and repair experience
Compensation
- $50,882.00 - $121,755.00
- Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
- Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
- The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
