About the role

Marathon Petroleum Company (MPC) is currently accepting applications for a shore-based Marine Tankerman.
This position will be based out of the Garyville/Mt.
Airy, LA area and will report to the Marine Tankering Services Supervisor.

Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on barges.
Maintain records and document all transfer times to be turned into the office in a timely manner.
Maintain uniforms and equipment necessary for transfers in good, clean condition so as to be ready and available for each barge transfer.

High School (Required)
Tankerman must be able to work in all weather conditions, both day and night, as the job assignment requires.
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license required.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

A valid USCG issued Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with Tankerman-PIC (Barge) endorsement, and a DL (dangerous liquid) qualification is required.
