Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects.
  • Meaningful Work: Handle sophisticated matters alongside experienced attorneys and partners

Requirements

  • Must be admitted to practice in the State of California
  • 15 years of experience with intellectual property litigation
  • Federal/State court litigation experience required with demonstrated experience writing and arguing motions
  • Experience taking/defending depositions required
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • 5 - 15 years of experience with intellectual property litigation
  • Excellent analytical, writing, client service, and professional communications skills
  • Legal project management experience is helpful

  • A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with privacy, AI and data governance and/or data privacy litigation is strongly preferred, interest in developing expertise
  • Experience with advertising law, art law, fashion law, internet law and/or transactional matters is a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of thought leadership in IP is a strong plus

Compensation

  • $180,000 - $210,000 USD

  • The Position
  • Wilson Elser's Intellectual Property and Technology Team seeks an Attorney with a strong litigation background to join a fast-paced and dynamic national team focused on Intellectual Property and Technology transactional law and litigation; privacy, AI and data governance; internet law; advertising law and other related industry-specific areas to take the next step in their career by becoming part of a national law firm with a wide range of resources and opportunities.
