About the role

This is not a traditional financial statement audit role.
You will not spend your days grinding through workpapers alone.
Instead, you will be simultaneously doing the audit work and improving the systems that automate it - reviewing AI-generated outputs, identifying where they fall short, and translating that into better workflows, prompts, and product decisions.

Perform and manage audit procedures directly, including planning, execution, and documentation.
Review and validate AI-generated audit procedures, workpapers, and documentation.
Develop quality review frameworks, checklists, and methodologies for AI-assisted audits.
Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to improve AI accuracy, reliability, and audit-awareness.
Document best practices and contribute to building internal knowledge bases.
Manage client relationships and deadlines, ensuring audit deliverables are completed accurately and on time - coordinating across internal and client teams to keep engagements on track.

5-7 years of audit experience with a strong foundation in audit methodology.
Comfort working with technology, AI tools, and iterative workflows.
Deep familiarity with audit procedures, workpaper documentation, and applicable standards.
Comfortable both executing audit work hands-on and stepping back to evaluate and improve the systems behind it.
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written communication and documentation abilities.
Active CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification.

Prior experience using AI tools to improve audit or analytical work.
Clear opinions about inefficiencies or gaps in traditional audit practices.
Experience designing processes, templates, checklists, or systems that others adopted.
Experience in a startup or other fast-paced, unstructured environment.
Experience working outside traditional audit environments (industry, consulting, innovation roles, etc.).
