About the role
- This role will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and backward compatibility of a modernized, enterprise-scale platform.
- This position is focused on automated quality engineering.
- Ensure backward compatibility and functional parity with the legacy system
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test strategies and test plans for complex, data-driven applications
- Develop, maintain, and execute robust automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript
- Build end-to-end, regression, integration, and smoke tests that support continuous delivery
- Validate application programming interface (API) integrations and data flows between frontend and backend systems
- Track, document, and verify defect resolution
Requirements
- This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, as well as hands-on experience with automated and manual testing in Agile environments.
- The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and suites for modern web applications.
- Experience with Playwright using TypeScript is required.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting federal government or large enterprise systems
- Experience testing systems requiring legacy parity or backward compatibility
- Experience testing Experience with Representational State Transfer APIs (REST APIs) and backend services
- Tools and Technologies
- Playwright with TypeScript (required)
