  • North Star Fishing Company is hiring an Assistant Cook to work aboard the F/T North Star, an at-sea processing vessel that fishes off the Coast of Alaska.

Responsibilities

  • We manage three trawl catcher-processor vessels that operate in the Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands, and the Gulf of Alaska.

Requirements

  • Must be able to provide two positive recent references from previous employers
  • In addition, you understand that any offer of employment will be contingent upon our verifying your employment eligibility as required by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Managing the cleanliness and maintenance of the ship accommodations daily and as required.

Compensation

  • I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, IF HIRED, MY EMPLOYMENT IS FOR NO DEFINITE PERIOD AND MAY, REGARDLESS OF THE DATE OF PAYMENT OF MY WAGES AND SALARY, BE TERMINATED AT ANY TIME WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTICE.

Company info

  • Successful completion of 5 consecutive fishing trips grants eligibility for airfare/hotel expenses, between the vessel and Seattle, to be paid by the company.
  • Each fishing trip averages 12-18 days and can be more or less dependent on fishing conditions.
