Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Operational Leadership: Develop and execute the firm's technology roadmap while partnering with leadership to identify opportunities for operational improvement, scalability, and long-term growth.
- Workflow Optimization & Process Improvement: Evaluate current business processes, identify bottlenecks, simplify workflows, and implement practical technology solutions that reduce manual effort and improve consistency across the firm.
- Reporting, Analytics & KPI Visibility: Design and improve dashboards, reporting, and operational metrics so leadership has clear visibility into firm performance, productivity, and opportunities for improvement.
- Technology Operations & IT Partnership: Work closely with the existing IT team member and external technology vendors to improve infrastructure, evaluate managed service providers (MSPs), strengthen security, and ensure technology investments support the firm's long-term objectives.
- Training & Change Management: Train attorneys and staff on new systems and processes, develop documentation, drive adoption, and ensure technology changes are successfully implemented across the organization.
- Governance & Technology Planning: Develop standards, documentation, and governance practices that support responsible technology use, data quality, security, and continuous improvement.

- The Director of Technology will lead the firm's technology strategy while personally driving key initiatives involving CRM implementation, workflow optimization, reporting, automation, AI adoption, and operational improvement.
- One of the first priorities will be helping the firm evaluate, implement, and optimize its next CRM/case management platform while improving reporting, dashboards, workflows, and overall operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience leading CRM implementation, business systems, or technology transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of workflow analysis, business process improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
- Experience implementing or optimizing CRM, ERP, case management, or other enterprise business platforms.
- Strong reporting, dashboard, and KPI development experience.
- Experience working across leadership, business users, vendors, and technical teams.
- Do you know how to use AI, automation, data, and legal technology to improve efficiency without creating chaos?
Nice to have
- Salesforce or other CRM implementation, administration, or architecture experience.
- Experience with Filevine, Prevail, Clio, Litify, SmartAdvocate, or other CRM/case management platforms.
- Experience evaluating CRM platforms and leading technology selection projects.
- IT operations or infrastructure experience, including vendor management or managed service providers (MSPs).
- Experience implementing workflow automation, AI tools, integrations, dashboards, or reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with APIs, low-code/no-code automation platforms, and business intelligence tools.
