About the role
- Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, you will support all manufacturing engineering activities within the assigned cells, including electrical system integration and system troubleshooting, implementing and facilitating lean manufacturing initiatives, implementing engineering change orders, assigning inventory locations, conducting contract reviews, creating shop floor instructions, evaluating standards and completing capital and facility upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Provides manufacturing engineering support and services within assigned manufacturing cell(s).
- Implements and facilitates lean manufacturing initiatives (5s, value stream mapping, set-up reduction etc.) Leads or participates in SWAT team meetings, ensuring that necessary action is taken between cross-functional groups to resolve issues Specifies and facilitates capital and equipment upgrades, installations, or modifications.
- Supports process planning and production engineering
