About the role
- Marathon Petroleum Company (MPC) is currently accepting applications for a Barge Cleaner to work within its Marine Repair Facility (MRF) in Catlettsburg, KY.
- Barge Cleaners are critical members of the MRF, and we are looking for individuals who can contribute to our inclusive work environment.
- This position is shift-work, subject to call-outs, work in inclement weather, and overtime as necessary.
Requirements
- High School (Required)
- The individual must be able to wear a respirator and work in confined spaces such as tank barge compartments, towboat ballast tanks, etc.

Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card required.
- Prior experience working in a commercial marine environment is preferred.
- An associate's degree in applied process technology or similar degree is preferred.
- Must be able to pass a preemployment written test, hands on test, drug test, and background check.
