Assists in identifying clients' needs and supports clients to independently access community resource
Provides one-on-one basic employment related information, support, and referrals;
May develop individual Work Plans showing action plan/timelines to meet unique client caseload, service objectives, output, and outcomes
Develop an outreach plan/strategy to proactively deliver services to newcomers, and represent MOSAIC in the community to advocate for newcomers' needs
Provide one-on-one detailed needs assessment and referrals, information and orientation, group orientation and information, guided pathway support, community connections, client outreach, service bridging, resource development, and delivery assistance to eligible clients
The Settlement Worker provides direct client service and program delivery support.

Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check required.
At least 2 years of experience working in community development, settlement, and/or employment programs
Excellent knowledge of office procedures, Program/project development, community development, documentation of services and diversity, standard office equipment

Ability to speak a second language will be considered an asset
Strong communication skills
Fluency (verbal and written) in an additional language other than English would be an advantage.
Able to work independently and with a team
Presentation, workshop, and facilitation skills both in-person and online
MS Office suite, publishing software, database.
OCMS knowledge and experience an asset
Customer service skills
Cultural sensitivity and cross-cultural counselling skills
Organized and able to set priorities and meet deadlines

$28.58 - $31.03 per hour

A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
