About the role

  • We produce strap, stretch and protective packaging.
  • We also manufacture packaging tools and equipment used to apply the bulk packaging materials.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to perform proper start-up operations to bring line to production.
  • Perform proper shutdown of the lines, including when to shut off PIB, drop heats, and turn the extruders off.
  • Ensure that the hour-by-hour boards are updated: record production, understand goals, document problems, and communicate maintenance issues.
  • Be able to fill in and perform all Winder Operator II and Extruder Operator I & II skills.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Nice to have

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Skills

  • These commercial packaging products are used to pack, bundle, unitize, protect, and secure goods during warehousing and transit.

Compensation

  • $29.57/hourly+ 10% night shift differential
  • The Extruder Operator III position ensures that the production line is up to speed, all weights are recorded correctly on rolls, and that proper setup of the line is complete to ensure maximum production among many other duties.
  • This role will Work closely with plant staff to provide a safe work environment.
  • This position may fill in for the Group Leader as needed.
