About the role

  • Uses accepted property appraisal methods and computer-assisted mass appraisal (CAMA) systems.
  • Requires detailed research, sound decision-making, and accurate, timely completion of assigned appraisals.
  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Conduct commercial and residential appraisals of land, real property, mobile homes, and business personal property using accepted appraisal methods and the CAMA system.

  • The Appraiser performs commercial and residential assessments and appraisals of land, real property, mobile homes, and business personal property.
  • Determine land values and use digitized land-based maps to support equalization and forecasting.
  • Provide support in other areas during peak periods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • One (1) year of work experience in an appraiser environment, OR
  • One (1) year of experience in property appraisal, real estate sales, or a related field.
  • Complete required supervisor training, if applicable.
