About the role

  • KPFF's Special Projects Group is seeking qualified Structural Engineers/Certified Divers that are ready to take their career to the next level.
  • BS in Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis)
  • Candidates should be comfortable operating small watercraft

Responsibilities

  • We specialize in the management and design of heavy civil, structural, industrial, and waterfront infrastructure projects across the United States.
  • Concrete, steel, and timber design experience

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience with underwater and topside inspection of marine infrastructure
  • Ability to operate on SCUBA and Surface Supplied Air
  • Current/Ability to pass ADCI Compliant Dive Physical
  • Knowledge of ASCE 61-14, AASHTO, IBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, and NDS
  • Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members

Nice to have

  • MS in Civil Engineering preferred (with a structural emphasis)
  • Technical Report writing experience preferred.
  • EIT is required, PE or SE preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP2000, L-Pile, MS Excel, and VBA is preferred

Compensation

  • The total compensation for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills.
  • The expected total compensation range for a qualified candidate is $90,000 - $160,000 including performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
