About the role
- Once fully ramped and in alignment with their manager, employees may have the opportunity for limited flexibility, including the potential to work remotely one day per week, based on business and team needs.
- The salary for this position ranges from $220,000 - $245,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced motor control algorithms and contribute to other control development needs.
- Develop and maintain simulation models for control validations and studies.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical and system engineers to contribute to requirements, development and validation.
- Hands on experience testing motor drive systems. Understanding of equipment like dynamometers, power supplies and power meters.
- Together we're working hands-on to imagine, design and build an entirely new solution to a global set of transportation challenges.
Requirements
- MS or PhD degree in Controls, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with a focus on motor controls and drives.
- Practical experience with motor control algorithms like FOC and DTC, PWM strategies, etc..
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, including model-based design, Stateflow, and developing automation scripts.
Compensation
- The salary for this position ranges from $220,000 - $245,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
