Responsibilities

  • Managing the venue throughout the course of the night to ensure that our players enter & exit the building at the appropriate times and through the appropriate doors.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic coaching principles, techniques, and safety guidelines for various sports (e.g., soccer, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball ).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and other volunteers.
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet any other requirements mandatory to work with children.
  • Police Background Check will be required.
  • Volleyball Coaches can participate in all our tournaments at no charge (please note: that to be eligible to play in a tournament for free you must have a regular shift in the current season).
  • Passion for working with children and promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
  • Experience playing and/or coaching sports, preferably with children in a recreational or educational setting.
  • Patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable to different skill levels and learning styles.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to commit to the program schedule and expectations.
  • Valid G driver's license is mandatory.
  • We currently have program running from May 2025 until August 2025
  • Programs will run on Thursdays and Fridays at Market Sports (800 King St N, Waterloo, ON N2J 4G8)
  • Timings will be 5:00pm - 9:00pm roughly for each day

Compensation

  • All of our Volleyball Coaches earn $17.60CAD per hour
  • After 50 Shifts = $18 CAD
  • Base Rate = $17.60 CAD
  • 100 Shifts = $19 CAD
  • 200 Shifts = $20 CAD
  • 300 Shifts = $21 CAD
