About the role

  • SUMMARY: We install controls management systems, which typically involves controlling the HVAC equipment in commercial buildings.
  • We pull all wires to electronic controllers where a computer program will monitor and control equipment as needed.
  • Install and mount electric/electronic control devices, panels, sensors, and components.

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • COMPUTER SKILLS: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Can read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic math functions including addition and subtraction.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Has the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and possible extreme weather conditions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment.
  • The associate is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
