About the role

The Information Management team has an exciting opening for a Business Intelligence Analyst.

Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand their data needs and requirements, translating them into meaningful, thoughtful analytics solutions.
Utilize Tableau and/or Power BI to design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports and visualizations that effectively communicate complex data trends, patterns and insights.
Lead project management activities, including gathering business requirements and authoring data needs and specifications for the Business Intelligence Developer.
Ensure all deliverables adhere to established design standards.
Perform thorough data analysis to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for process improvements and optimization.
Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance business performance, optimize operational efficiency and drive innovation.
Business Intelligence Products Support (20%)
Work closely with the BI Developer to troubleshoot, triage and document modifications to current stored procedures and SQL scripts.
Create and update end user documentation of BI solutions.
Develop and apply knowledge of University Advancement's organizational structure to support business and reporting needs.

To be considered for this opportunity, your application must demonstrate that you meet the minimum qualifications and additional qualifications listed below.
Bachelor's degree AND three years of professional experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar role utilizing Tableau for data visualization and analysis.
Disclosure is required under Washington state law.

Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, extraction and analysis from relational databases and experience using source control software.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling and ETL processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong attention to detail.
