Visiting Assistant Professor Chemistry JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Department of Biology, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering at Florida Polytechnic University is seeking applicants for the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry.
This position will primarily focus on Chemistry 1 lectures and laboratory instruction.
As such, applicants must demonstrate commitment to teaching within the freshman and sophomore year.

Florida Polytechnic University will offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences beginning in fall 2026.
A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field, where the degree must be complete before a candidate's starting date.
Transcripts issued outside of the United States require a equivalency statement from a certified transcript evaluation service verifying the degree equivalency to that of an accredited institution within the USA.
This report must be attached with the application and submitted by the application deadline.
Employment is contingent upon proof of the legal right to work in the United States. This proof must be provided prior to employment at the University. An appointment is not final until proof is provided.
Prior teaching and relevant research or industry experience.
Participation in professional activities and organizations.
