Sponsors, but it's cap-subject — you still face the weighted lottery (~61% per draw at Level IV). Good if you win; have a cap-exempt backup on your list.

H-1B wage level

the lottery is wage-weighted — each level is one more entry

Level II · 2×
Level I$109,8451 entry
Level II$137,7172 entries
Level III$165,5893 entries
Level IV$193,4614 entries

$15,589 more — $165,589 — moves this role to Level III and 3 lottery entries. That figure is inside the range the employer already advertised.

Based on the DOL prevailing wage for this occupation and worksite, a base salary of $165,589 would place this position at wage Level III. That figure is within the posted range, and I'd like to target it. This role classifies under "Software Developers" for prevailing-wage purposes.

DOL prevailing wage, 2026-27 wage year · Software Developers (15-1252) · New York-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ. Wage level is derived by USCIS from the offered wage, occupation and worksite; the occupation shown is inferred from the job title.

Employer immigration record

from this employer's Department of Labor filings

Files H-1B transfers

4 transfer filings in the last year, covering 4 workers. Median labor-condition decision: 7 days. An employer that already files transfers is one that can take over an existing H-1B.

Sourced from Department of Labor LCA, PERM and prevailing-wage disclosure data. Employer matching is by name, so figures may be split across an employer's legal entities. Absence of a filing means none appears in our copy of the data, not that none exists.

About the role

  • Join the eClerx US AI Organization to build and deploy AI-enabled software for clients in financial services and other industries.
  • You will design agentic workflows, turn successful demonstrations and MVPs into production-ready software, and build what large organizations need to see before rollout: secure identity and access, protected credentials, dependable integrations, observable operations, and a clear deployment path.
  • You will own the engineering work from build through handoff to an industry specific product team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and evaluate agentic workflows and integrations, and move strong demonstrations toward production.
  • Design production architecture for resilience, covering retries, idempotency, queues, failure isolation, and scaling, and run performance and load testing with cost in mind.
  • Own infrastructure as code and CI/CD, including environment promotion, containers, and repeatable deployments.
  • Hands-on experience building agentic workflows, including tool use, orchestration, multi-step reasoning, and human-in-the-loop review.
  • Assess demos and MVPs against client deployment requirements, then lead the full-stack work to close the gaps, including features, APIs, user workflows, and integrations with enterprise data environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or software engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python (or a comparable language) and at least one modern backend stack.
  • Depth in AWS, the ability to work in GCP and Azure, and experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or a comparable data platform.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Docker and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, environments, and release processes.
  • Familiarity with fine-tuning models and with up-to-date AI models and their capabilities.
  • Experience supporting a client security audit or penetration test.
  • Client-facing experience, including technical discovery or presentation.
  • Exposure to financial services, including financial crime and compliance (FCC), know your customer (KYC), or anti-money laundering (AML)
  • or to communications, media, telecommunications, finance and accounting industries.
  • Startup or early-stage product experience.
  • Publications in top journals, teaching or mentoring experience, or open source contributions.

Compensation

  • In the US, the target base salary for this role is $150,000-$200,000.

Company info

  • We are also committed to protecting and safeguarding your personal data.
  • 5-8 years of full-stack engineering experience and evidence of products reaching real customers.
