Responsibilities

  • Constructs building framework including walls, floors, and doorframes.
  • Helps erect, level, and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes.
  • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.
  • Manages and documents production to ensure or exceed budget goals.
  • Available to lead Teams across multiple different tasks.
  • Manages equipment inventory and materials on site as well as budget.
  • Maintains records for site personnel and production through daily logs, timecards, photos, and notes.

Requirements

  • Must have reliable, consistent transportation.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years construction experience in rough and finish carpentry.
  • The following trainings are required (and provided by Wolverine):
  • Organized, with exceptional time management skills, the ability to plan and multitask in order to meet deadlines.
  • Examines blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.

Nice to have

  • Certification in welding and power actuated tools are a plus.

  • The Carpenter III Crew Leader performs various trade work, including rough and finish carpentry, doors and hardware, steel stud setting, metal finishes, siding, and general trade specialties.
  • This role involves supervising crews and being self-sufficient as a foreman in any of the listed areas.
  • Proficient in reading architectural, structural, and shop drawings, the Crew Leader ensures safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, notifying the Foreman, Supervisor, Safety, or Human Resources as needed.
