About the role

Responsibilities

  • Our natural setting is enhanced by its modern, attractive, and state-of-the-art classroom buildings and support facilities.
  • The Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations and is responsible for all public- facing external communications, media relations, and information in support of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Athletics.
  • Maintain current and historical statistics including records for athletic teams.
  • Collaborate with the School of Communications on projects and internships.
  • Maintain the infrastructure and processes behind ESPN+ streaming productions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, sports administration, or closely related field.
  • Two (2) years of related experience in athletics communications or broadcasting
  • Master's degree in communications, journalism, sports administration, or closely related field
  • Master's Degree.
  • Strong knowledge of SIDEARM CMS or comparable website management software.
  • Experience with Adobe Premier or other video editing software.
  • Additional education may be considered as a substitute for the minimum experience required:
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated student-worker supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Premier or other video editing software. Live video streaming experience.
  • Intermediate skills in various computer programs including StatCrew, Genius, Photoshop and InDesign.

  • 100% tuition coverage for up to 18 credit hours per fiscal year (other rules may apply).
