About the role
- Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a Hardware Engineering Technician working in our research and development division.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1.
- Assist engineers in the evaluation of new electronic components.
Requirements
- Two-year electronic technology or related associate degree
- Working knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits
- Familiarity with modern test equipment
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Nice to have

- Troubleshooting to the component level
- Familiarity with the Python language and scripting
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Working knowledge of IT equipment (Ethernet switches, TCP/IP address setup)
- Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems

Compensation
- $40.50 - $59.50 per hour. Our salary ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
