About the role

  • The Senior Financial Analyst - Captive Accounting plays a key role in Asurion's Finance Organization, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial and accounting services.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate proactive communication and problem-solving skills within the Asurion Financial ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely monthly cession statements and external captive reporting packages for Insurance Carriers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and validate financial data and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain strong controls and documentation for reporting processes.
  • Support audits and respond to related inquiries regarding Captive program financials.
  • Positive attitude, self-confident, competent with strong team orientation and superb relationship building skills

Requirements

  • Three to Five years of experience in accounting function.
  • Intermediate to Advance experience with MS Excel.
  • Some experience with statistics and manipulating large data sets.
  • Assist in designing simply ways to add required dimensionality to data sets to fulfill client expectations.
  • Systems aptitude and proficiency in Excel, Access, and financial software
  • MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • CPA designation or actively pursuing certification is a plus.
  • Preferred Qualifications

Nice to have

  • Experience in the insurance or captive insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of cession reporting and international financial regulations.
  • Experience working in a multi-national or matrixed organization.
  • SQL and/or Power BI
