- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Foundational knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, basic radiologic technology concepts, and CT‑related terminology.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing core knowledge, skills, abilities, and available resources, provides safe, high‑quality, efficient, and patient‑centered care and support services under routine or emergent conditions.
- Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician‑ordered exams to support appropriate imaging.
- Demonstrates the ability to recognize basic imaging artifacts and implement corrective measures independently or under guidance.
- Effectively communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and the care team to support desired clinical outcomes and service standards.
- Accurately document in EMR/PACS
- Supports inventory tasks as needed to help ensure supplies are available.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire.
- ARRT(RT) certification required within 12 months of hire.
- ARRT(RT)(CT) certification is required upon hire.
- Foundational knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, basic radiologic technology concepts, and CT‑related terminology.
Skills
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Knowledge of and ability to apply HIPAA guidelines and standards.
- Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled.
- Ability to be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs.
