About the role

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans aligned with organizational goals, ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects.
  • Core Team Management: Lead, inspire, and mentor project members, fostering collaboration, creative thinking, and a high-performance culture to achieve project milestones and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges early in the project, developing proactive mitigation plans to minimize disruptions and maintain project progress.
  • Collaborate to develop tools and best practices for project management and execution.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans aligned with organizational goals, ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects.

Requirements

  • Assist Product Management and/or Program Manager to complete project charters outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing per the roles and responsibilities guidelines in VPG-001.
  • Demonstrated competency in creating presentations and ability to confidently present and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to facilitate productive discussions and reach consensus.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOM's.
  • Experience in MRP/ERP Systems.
  • All communications, inquiries and candidate submissions must be routed through Victaulic's Human Resources/Talent Acquisition team.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in Product Development, with a track record of successfully launching products to market. Project Management Certification or degree (e.g., PMP or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving business objectives. Analytical mindset and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOM's. Experience in MRP/ERP Systems.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic systems and software (Microsoft Office, Project Management software, etc)
  • Willing to be flexible in schedule and travel to ensure customer value is obtained by evaluating product performance in the field.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related technical discipline preferred and/or 5+ years of extensive experience in project management.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in Product Development, with a track record of successfully launching products to market.
  • Project Management Certification or degree (e.g., PMP or equivalent) strongly preferred.

Skills

  • Able to manage larger, more complex projects independently.
