About the role

Project Management: Assume full ownership and accountability for multiple engineering initiatives, setting clear objectives and direction for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans aligned with organizational goals, ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects.
Core Team Management: Lead, inspire, and mentor project members, fostering collaboration, creative thinking, and a high-performance culture to achieve project milestones and objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges early in the project, developing proactive mitigation plans to minimize disruptions and maintain project progress.
Collaborate to develop tools and best practices for project management and execution.

Requirements

Assist Product Management and/or Program Manager to complete project charters outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing per the roles and responsibilities guidelines in VPG-001.
Demonstrated competency in creating presentations and ability to confidently present and interact with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to facilitate productive discussions and reach consensus.
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOM's.
Experience in MRP/ERP Systems.

Proven experience as a Project Manager in Product Development, with a track record of successfully launching products to market. Project Management Certification or degree (e.g., PMP or equivalent) strongly preferred.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving business objectives. Analytical mindset and keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOM's. Experience in MRP/ERP Systems.
Proficient in the use of electronic systems and software (Microsoft Office, Project Management software, etc)
Willing to be flexible in schedule and travel to ensure customer value is obtained by evaluating product performance in the field.

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related technical discipline preferred and/or 5+ years of extensive experience in project management.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in Product Development, with a track record of successfully launching products to market.
Project Management Certification or degree (e.g., PMP or equivalent) strongly preferred.

Skills

Able to manage larger, more complex projects independently.
