About the role

The ideal entry level candidate will be organized, optimistic, and eager to learn.
Track and log expenses and assist with aspects of the budget process as directed.
Ensure deadlines are met, communications are clear, and a customer service attitude is maintained throughout the planning and executing of events.

Collaborate effectively with internal colleagues as well as members and vendors.
Use Salesforce to manage event registrations, track attendee data, and generate reports for internal stakeholders.
Prepare, track, and manage materials for conferences and events.
Participate in day-of logistics to assist with registration, member support, conference logistics, and troubleshoot as needed.
Provide general administrative support and perform other duties as assigned.
Travel 15-20% of the time in support of events outside the DC area.
This position will support the Conferences & Events team in planning and executing multi-day conferences, smaller events, and meetings for our membership here in DC and around the country.

Bachelor's degree
Work experience in some sort of customer service role
Comfort level with independent as well as collaborative projects
Ability to problem-solve under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, and Google Workspace
