About the role

  • Overview NaphCare is hiring a Dialysis Biomedical Technician (BMET) to join our team of medical professionals in the Alabama Department of Corrections - St.
  • Conduct regular checks for water/dialysate, including testing for total chlorine, pH, conductivity, and water hardness.
  • Train clinical staff (nurses and patient care technicians) on proper equipment operation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, schedule, and document preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on dialysis machines, water treatment systems (RO units), and related equipment.
  • Maintain meticulous records of repairs, inspections, and technical data in computerized systems.
  • Manage, order, and track service parts, tools, and equipment inventory

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • an associate's degree in biomedical technology or electronics is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is required for traveling between facilities
  • BONENT certification is often preferred or required within a certain timeframe.
