About the role
- Overview NaphCare is hiring a Dialysis Biomedical Technician (BMET) to join our team of medical professionals in the Alabama Department of Corrections - St.
- Conduct regular checks for water/dialysate, including testing for total chlorine, pH, conductivity, and water hardness.
- Train clinical staff (nurses and patient care technicians) on proper equipment operation and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Perform, schedule, and document preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on dialysis machines, water treatment systems (RO units), and related equipment.
- Maintain meticulous records of repairs, inspections, and technical data in computerized systems.
- Manage, order, and track service parts, tools, and equipment inventory
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED is required
- an associate's degree in biomedical technology or electronics is preferred.
- Valid driver's license is required for traveling between facilities
- BONENT certification is often preferred or required within a certain timeframe.
