About the role
- Morris Group, Inc., one of the largest machine tool distribution networks in North America, is a third generation, family owned and operated business that serves manufacturers of precision machined parts in the United States.
- This position works independently to ensure the highest level of quality and customer service satisfaction.
- Effectively communicate machine issues, status of installation or status of machine repair to customer.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all machine tool equipment and controls.
- Perform improvements on equipment; perform and promote preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.
- Provide tech support and training to customer Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components.
- Develop and maintain partner relationships with our machine tool vendors and other third-party vendors.
- Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees.

- Employees in these roles may also be expected to: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment.
- Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills required for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work.
- Ability to work in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions, while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform related duties as required.
Nice to have
- An associate's degree in a related field is preferred
- High School Diploma/GED from a technical school is required.
