Responsibilities
- The individual will maintain documentation for all the tasks completed on a regular basis and adhere the change management policy.
- 10+ years of professional experience in Software AG ADABAS/Natural and related products for administration and systems programming support.
- Configure and manage Software AG ADABAS and related products such as Natural
- Database Design
- Manage vendors relations and quickly resolve problems and questions
- Support planned (disaster recovery) and unplanned (emergency) database recovery activities
- Experience in a large, 24x7 multi-database environments and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and effectively to support requests from multiple clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive experience with the following:
- Knowledge of log archive and change accumulation utilities
- Knowledge of ADARUN Parameters and Buffer pools.
- Knowledge of Protection logging and Command Logging.
- Database design and experience with batch and online Software AG ADABAS/Natural
Skills
- The individual will need to work with vendor personnel to achieve timely solutions of database problems.
- Position reports to Senior Manager - Mainframe Database.
